nu.skies

thirteen is a number for life.
not an unlucky one.

A year of a life is thirteen moons. The Sun takes about 365 days. The Moon comes home a little more than twelve times in that year. Count the one the civil year drops, and the year a body keeps is thirteen. Twelve is a filing system. Thirteen is the count.

Mesopotamia built a calendar of twelve equal months, thirty degrees each, so the sky could be predicted on a tablet. The thirteenth moon was the one you inserted and then forgot. The thirteenth constellation on the ecliptic, Ophiuchus, was left outside the grid. The power of thirteen has been hidden from everyone since that calendar hid it.

What stayed hidden is ordinary and strong. Thirteen is a Fibonacci number, the step a shell and a sunflower already use. In the tarot it is Death, a change of form, not an ending. The later story, that thirteen is unlucky, is the cover. The number was never the curse. It was the year.

nu.skies opens on that count. The wheel draws the thirteen constellations the ecliptic actually crosses, each at its real width, Ophiuchus between Scorpius and Sagittarius. The twelve-sign chart is still here, tropical or sidereal, when the old grid is the one you want.

Positions come from a VSOP87 and lunar theory in the page, not from a server. Houses are the classical formulas. A chart is a language for the sky. It is not a diagnosis, and it is not a reason to decide for someone else.
